Smelling winter...
Mallnitz, situated in the middle of the Hohe Tauern National Park has always been a wonderful spot for winter sports. In addition to the Ankogel ski area, which is probably one of the closest ski resorts in Austria to nature, the cross-country ski trails in two different valleys - in most winters boasting up to 25km - impress with their first-class condition and are therefore among the best in Carinthia - also awarded with the state cross-country ski trails seal of approval.
Ever tried tobogganing at night? Come to Mallnitz!
Or if you are feeling more comfortable with both your feet firm on the ground you could try snowshoeing.
Anyway, here in Mallnitz, winter smells of snow - the altitude promises a high certainty of snow each year - of cool, pure air and, above all, of enjoyment.

Skiing
The Ankogel - our local skiing resort - has the longest uninterrupted ski run in Carinthia. Want to ski all year round? Then the nearby Mölltaler Gletscher glacier skiing resort is your ticket. The ski bus stops in front of our house takes our guests to both ski areas - to the Ankogel even free of charge.
Relaxing
Only a few steps from our house is the Tauernbad Mallnitz with an indoor pool and a comfortable, relaxing sauna area. From Christmas to the end of March, we provide our guests with an additional “relax package” – a sauna bag with extra towels and entry to pool and sauna – all free of charge!
